Pops of Red
About a month ago, I took a weekend trip up to Northern California to visit my best friend and her small town. It was a nice change of scenery from the hectic and past-faced city life and noise that is Los Angeles. Although it was a short trip, it was a much needed break. I've been trying to take more short trips whenever life gets a bit..questionable. Anyways..
So let's talk about the how grainy these film photos are..
I used Cinestill 800T in 10am-11am daylight, just out of curiosity and these were the results. Honestly, I'm not mad at this. I actually got these scans way back in May, took a quick look at them but then got distracted by life and work. It wasn't until now, as I am uploading and posting this, I finally took another look at the scans. Oddly enough the grain and colors captured exactly how her small town is - vintage nostalgia.
As for the film camera - it's my ride or die from day one the Olympus OM-1. I have another trip coming up and revisiting these photos before I leave could not have been better timing! Color film is always a hit or miss with me so I am excited to have another color film option to experiment with.
